1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Sottocapo (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Sottocapo is an AI-assisted email agent that reads, classifies, and drafts responses to recruiter outreach in your Gmail inbox on your behalf. Every outgoing message requires your explicit approval before it is sent.

3. User accounts

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs through it. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it.

5. Prohibited conduct

• Sending spam, phishing, or fraudulent communications.
• Impersonating another person or entity.
• Using the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others.
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems.
• Reverse engineering or attempting to derive the source code.
• Using the Service to violate the terms of Gmail, Slack, or any other connected third-party service.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content, is owned by Sottocapo and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the content you provide (your bio, preferences, email content). You grant us a limited license to process that content to provide the Service.

7. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by emailing contact@sottocapo.com. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms or if continued service is impractical.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOTTOCAPO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via the dashboard at least thirty days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
